German-Market-Readiness-Index (GMRI)

One of our newest methods is a test that was developed over two years and that aims to define the degree of readiness of a certain company to enter the German market. For this purpose several areas of the company is tested in a simply, but precise questionnaire in the areas:

  • General export strength of the company
  • Product / Services
  • Organization
  • Marketing
  • Strategy
  • Sales
  • Financials
  • Industrial focus and suitability

For every area several questions are asked and the company representative is asked to validate the own capability by giving points from 1 to 5. This is counter-validated by the BDG auditor, who also gives points and lastly this is indexed by a specially developed internal database.

As a result, we are able to give the company a scoring that tells something about the strengths and weaknesses and is a valuable instrument to plan further steps.

The indexation is crucial, because it references companies and projects that were especially successful in the past. Should it subsequently be recognizable that a certain area within the organization (or the development of the same) is important for entering the German / European market/s, then this will be reflected.

By using this method, we are able to “diagnose” where to assist to ensure the success.

The test itself is relatively simple and only takes 2-3 hours and after a few days we can present the result together with a short report outlining the findings and often being the starting point of a good project.

We will soon update on the new German-Market-Readiness-Index, since we experience a huge interest in this, so remain interested and visit or contact us for more insights!
